The Sony BDP-S550 1080p Blu-ray Player is an upgrade to the BDP-S530. It has 1GB of memory already. This amount of memory will allow you to have additional Blu-ray features such as BD-Live interactive components. It also includes dts-HD compatibility in order for the audio to sound like recording in a studio.
With BD-Live, you will experience another dimension while you’re looking at a movie. You will be able to download additional content and additional bonuses such as shorts, scenes, trailers and games. There is an Ethernet port that allows easy access to some of the BD-Live content and features in Bonus View.
The disc player also has a USB port which will increase the storage space in order to gain access to the enormous number of features available. It already has a massive storage capacity for the Blu-ray discs. There are other features of this disc player that include:
